After the Second Lebanon War, many people criticized the government and the IDF for not planning better before the conflict. After carefully reviewing the problems that faced Israel through the Second Lebanon War, we can now look more confidently into the future with clear vision. The IDF has launched a very carefully planned, and thus far, successful operation against a well-financed and well-trained terrorist organization.
The Friends of the Reserves (TFOTR), founded in the aftermath of the Second Lebanon War, has made much progress thanks to the generosity of Zionists in America and around the world. Now we stand before a very tough battle - only this time we have the chance to stand strong with our soldiers. We need your help! More than 10,000 reservists have been called to leave their homes and families - and are prepared to do their part. Though the IDF is well-equipped, many of the other front-line forces are not. Reserve teams, Magen David Adom (MDA), and many other groups called upon to protect Israel need our help! TFOTR has one main goal: to provide as much life-saving material as possible to those responsible Israel's protection and the lives of those under attack in Israel's southern cities. Our Mission The Friends of the Reserves was established to provide Israeli citizens, who also serve as reserve soldiers, with the equipment that they require to safely and successfully defend themselves, and Israel’s borders.
